THE PERILS OF A TINY DOG

Hi, my name is Sadie and I rule the roost around here. I may be a little dog but I'm a mighty dog, all 3 pounds of me. My favorite place to lie is on the couch. My favorite toy is a toilet paper roll, no paper just the empty cardboard. I love to chew on it and tear it to pieces and even though my mommy has a whole basket full of toy's, that ol' paper roll is the cat's meow.

Speakin' of cat's,

My life was very peaceful here until my mom thought I needed a companion. For some reason she thought I would like a cat. My life has not been the same since they brought HER into the house. They thought it was cute to name her Skitty because she's Sadie's kitty, get it, Skitty. Yeah, I'm greatly amused.

No matter where I lie, she thinks she needs to be there too. She hogs the pillow and is constantly pickin' a fight.

I love lyin' on the furnace vent when the warm air is blowin' and now it's a constant battle for the one I want to lie on, never mind there are a half dozen other vents SHE can go lie on, it has to be the one I want.

Mommy thought it was so cute to put me in the clothes basket today. That pesky cat wanted in the basket with me but I wasn't gonna let her.

SHE is so annoyin'.

"I said, You are not comin' in here with me!"

"Ha ha, I'm in and you're not."

"Stop that you pesky thing!"

Okay, now I'm gettin' out!

"Would somebody get me outta here?"

"Back you BEAST!"

I gotta get out of here!

"Mommy, please get me out of here"

Now this is the way it should be. Just leave HER in there forever as far as I'm concerned.

"Ha ha you stupid cat!"

"They're gonna leave you in there forever!"

"Hee hee hee"

Oh yes, back on the couch where I belong and no pesky cat in site!
Be sure and come back to see me again, I love the attention.

Sadie is just the most precious thing I've ever seen.

And the way the cat follows her around is too cute!

Sadie is just ADORABLE!!! We are laughing away at your pictures because Skitty looks and seems to act just like Midnight!!! It is just too funny. Lexi was laughing away and says she looks just like our Midnight!!!

Thank you Wife O Riley.

Skitty and Sadie are just too adorable, and very entertaining I'm sure. Nice post Rebel. I really enjoyed it.

OMG! Sadie is freakin' adorable!!! So tiny and precious. ::snuggle:: Ugh! My doggie radar is going off but there is no way I will let a pet in my house before at least one child is old enough and proves responsible enough to not starve it to death. Now, when my children grow up and move out, THEN we can talk dog. ;-)

Great post! I nearly died laughing.

Did you notice that something has been missing from your blog? It might have appeared around the time I stopped commenting? I’m sorry about all that. I took a little hiatus from the blogosphere, but I couldn’t stay away too long. After a break, I had to come by again and see what you’ve been up to.

Glad that I did.

-Francesca

PS: Thanks for the birthday love!

They're both adorable! I bet they'll end up being the best of friends. Looks like they'll be giving you lots of free entertainment!

Rebel I have to tell you. We were reading and laughing at this post right before Lexi needed to go to bed. We both had tears rolling down our faces because it looks SO MUCH like Lucy and Midnight. I'm sure you will see us back several times as I had to promise Lexi we would come back and read this in the morning. Twin black kitties with twin poses.....just hilarious!

I'm not a fan of tiny dogs or cats, but I plan on sharing this with my five-year-old daughter tomorrow.

I'm sure that after we view the pictures, she ask if we can get a puppy or cat.

take care,
muddy

Oh Sadie is just the cutest!! Skitty is a great name, my husband used to have a dog called "Deefer Dog" - as in "D" for Dog! I know it's sad right?! Thanks for the cute post - I found your blog over at SITS.

Thanks Joyce, Skitty and Sadie are very entertainin'.

Monica, I know what you mean. When my kids got pets, I was always the one who ended up carin' for the pet 'cause I couldn't stand for it to not be feed on time or have a clean cage.

Thanks Mary, You know how I feel about your little BooBoo.

Jan, Thank you so much, what a nice thing to say.

Francesca, I'm so glad you're back.

Jodi, Actually, they are friends. They play together all the time. Skitty went to the vet the other day to be spayed and Sadie moped around all day lookin' for her. They were very happy to see each other. But it wasn't very long before Skitty was aggravatin' again!

Darlene, I am so glad you and Lexi enjoyed the pictures, I know you can relate 'cause I think Skitty and Midnight are close to the same age. Skitty is around 6 months old.

Duckie, No, Sadie has not met Queen Bitty. LOL

Sheryl, I'm so glad you enjoyed the story.

Bo, Thanks so much. I just love your Lil Bear.

Amy, I'm glad you stopped by. Skitty is VERY 'ornery. Very.

Bee Happy, Thanks for stoppin by and I'm glad you liked the pictures.

Hi Harriet, Glad you stopped by.

Tar, I do love my critters. A lot.

Punkn, They really do get along well. Right from the start. When I brought Skitty home, it wasn't 10minutes before she was chasin' Sadie around.

Thanks Tammy and thanks for comin' by.

Rocksee, I wanted a Sadie for a long time before I found her. I looked and looked for a fou-fou dog like her, it seemed like for years.

Tiffany, Thanks, Sadie gets so put out when she is lyin' on it and along comes Skitty. You can just see it on her face.

Noble, Thanks. Sadie is so little, she's kinda like havin' another little kid. Everyone in the family calls her my little 'baby'.

Muddy, Before I got Sadie, both my husband and son were not happy about me wantin' a little fou-fou dog. We've always had big dogs. After I got her, they both fell in love with her. I hope you little girl likes the pictures.

Sarah, I'm so glad you stopped by. That is a great name for a dog. I like it.

"Back you BEAST" - that picture is hilarious! How adorable are those two. Sadie might not admit it, but she secretly loves that cat. :) awww...that kitty reminds me of my boss' kitty that got lost. very cute post! :)

OMGosh, Miz Darlene sent me over to your blog and I'm so grateful she did because this is the funniest thing I've ever read or seen with pets! Too cute! I love your little Sadie and Skitty! Skitty looks so much like our Indy-bug kitty who is having to cope with an older Sissy kitty and our new addition of Dallas a pekingese. But your Sadie is adorable, that face! Thanks for the laughter and smiles! Great post!

Hi! What a great story! Glad I hopped over here this morning. Your doggie is so cute. I'm a dummie here but what kind of dog is she? She looks like a Yorkie puppie, is she? And you have 30 comments, do you know how jealous I am? I don't have any idea how to get that many people to look at my blog, much less comment!!! Hey - did you ever pick a photo? I'll send more until you find one you like, okay?

Oh I love you little yorkie -- how old? We just got our first and he is 13 weeks old and the love of our life. Stopping in from SITS -- I'm going to follow you!

Hi Jamie, Thanks for stoppin' by, I'm so glad you did. I'd let Skitty come visit but we'd all miss her so much, she's a sight!

Hey Donna, Thanks. She wears clothes not just because I think it's cute but she is cold all the time. It is fun shoppin' for doggie clothes (CD is worse than me!) and dressin' her up.

Muse, I'm so glad that you are back, I really missed you and your nice comments.

Mary from Belize, Sadie really does love Skitty, they get along pretty good but Skitty does agravate Sadie and when I pay attention to Skitty, Sadie gets sooo jealous! It's too funny. I'm so sorry you lost your kitty. '(

Kitty, Thanks for stoppin' by. What a cute name for a kitty, Indy-Bug, I like it. Sounds like you have a lot of entertainment with your critter's too.

Bayouwoman, I'm glad you stopped by. Yes, Sadie is a Yorkie but no she's not a puppy, she's almost 5 years old. I guess she's kind of a puppy now that I think of it, when they are this small they always look like a puppy.

Anissa, I'm so glad you stopped by, it's nice to meet new people. Oh, how fun that you have a new Yorkie puppy, they are the cutest. Sadie is 5 years old and she'll always be my puppy.
