SOMETHING FOR AN AMERICAN SOLDIER

Well, Christmas is just about here and I know everyone is very busy, I know I am, but let us remember the men and women in service to our country. If you would like to do something special this Christmas for our soldiers, go over to Jodi's blog and check out her Sunday, January 21st post, Send A Song To A Soldier. Billboard is offering to send music downloads in your name to a soldier in the Army. It takes about 10 seconds and I'm sure it would make someone very happy.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

RU trying to get blog traffic over at my site? :) Just kidding. Isn't that great that they're doing this for the soldiers? I'm sure even the little things mean a lot to them when they're so far from home. Cheri, from Just Another Day in Paradise also put it on her blog, so I hope we can get a lot of people to do this!

Nope, that wasn't me at PW's website. Darn, huh? I did try to win that software though! I'd much rather win a Kitchen Aid mixer though, so I'll hold out!

Geez! I forgot my manners! I'm glad you liked the turtle pretzels!! I actually want to make a "turtle" using a cute mold I have, but I don't know if I'll get around to it.

I didn't win PW's giveaway, BUT I did win a giveaway. I won a set of cute pie cutters and a cd from Mommy? I'm Hungry! You should check out her blog.

Great idea.

It during this holiday season that I often think about the sacrifices our soldiers are making.

Kind of funny... iTunes and the like are banned on military computers, because they suck bandwidth, but the troops all know work-arounds and back doors to get in.

I sent a YouTube video to my USMA class listserver, and a bunch of LTCs in Iraq and Afghanistan all replied that they couldn't access it. I told them to ask a troop to show them how to get in. It worked every time.

Thanks for sharing the holiday spirit across the big pond!
